Appropriately dubbed as the city of lights, Karachi forms the economic centre of Pakistan. It is the capital of Sindh, the second largest province of Pakistan. The city has the largest population in Pakistan and fifth largest in the world. This makes Karachi Pakistan’s cultural, financial, educational and political hub. The city is an ethnically and religiously diverse one. As it borders the Arabian Sea, about 95 percent of Pakistan’s international trade also takes place through Karachi’s two seaports i.e. the Port of Karachi and Port Bin Qasim.
